Ask

Questions to ask Twilio

Ask every finalist the same questions, then run a small TEST send with each.

  1. 01

What is the current price to send to a Ghana MTN, Telecel, or AT number, in GHS after conversion?

  2. 02

Is an alphanumeric sender ID supported for Ghana, and what registration does it need?

  3. 03

Do I pay in USD on a card, and how do exchange-rate moves affect my budget?

  4. 04

Where do Ghana delivery reports come from, and how detailed are they?

Switch

Moving from Twilio to Taysend

  1. 01

Create a Taysend account and copy a TEST key. Send to a simulated number and open the message id.

  2. 02

Request your sender ID in the console. LIVE waits until it is approved, so request it before you switch traffic.

  3. 03

Export your contact lists as CSV and import them as Taysend lists.

  4. 04

Point your backend at POST /v1/messages with a Bearer key and an Idempotency-Key. Keep the old provider live until Taysend LIVE is approved.

  5. 05

Top up a GHS bundle, send a small LIVE batch, and compare delivery reports before moving all traffic.

FAQ

Straight answers

If something here is product behaviour, it matches the dashboard and the API.

01Can I use Taysend for Ghana and keep Twilio elsewhere?+

Yes. Route +233 numbers to Taysend and everything else to your current provider. Taysend is Ghana first; other countries appear only after a route is provisioned.

02Do I pay in dollars?+

No. Taysend is a prepaid GHS wallet. Ghana is GHS 0.04 per billed unit unless a written contract says otherwise.
