Connect your assistant

Claude.ai signs in with your Taysend account. Other apps use an API key that starts with sms_live_ — treat it like a password, and rotate it in Developers → API keys if it leaks.

1In Claude (web or desktop) open Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.

3Click Connect, sign in, pick the account and click Allow.

Taysend makes a “connected app” key for that account and renews it for you. Revoke it any time in Developers → API keys. Cursor and other clients that support sign-in work the same way: give them just the URL.

Any other client that supports Streamable HTTP works too: point it at https://api.taysend.com/mcp with the header Authorization: Bearer sms_live_….

Your key, your wallet, your yes

An assistant with access to your SMS account should be careful with it. Taysend is built so it has to be.

You approve every send
The assistant shows the recipients, text and cost, then waits for your yes. Most apps also ask before running a tool.
Your key is never stored
The MCP server uses your key only for the request it came with. It decides which account and wallet the assistant sees.
Same rules as the API
Every send goes through the same wallet checks, opt-out list and rate limits as the HTTP API.
Buying is just a link
Topping up only creates a Mobile Money or card payment link. Money moves only when you pay it.

Let it look, not touch

Add ?read_only=true to the URL, or send the header X-Taysend-Read-Only: true. The assistant can still read balances, messages and reports, but sending, buying and editing tools disappear.

Good for reporting bots, shared team chats and trying things out.
