Taysend (“we”) operates the SMS gateway at taysend.com. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you visit the site, create an account, or send messages, and how we use it.
Questions: bds.inc0101@gmail.com.
Account data: name, email, password hash (Argon2id — we do not store the plaintext password), organisation name, and role.
Usage data: login times, IP address, user agent, API request metadata, idempotency keys, and audit events needed to secure the Service.
Messaging data: destination numbers, sender IDs, message bodies, encoding, segments, provider message ids, and delivery-report payloads. We need these to route, bill, and show you the inspect trail.
Billing data: GHS wallet balances, reservations, settlements, and top-up references.
Contact form and newsletter: name, email, and the message you submit.
Cookies: an HTTP-only session cookie (taysend_session) after you sign in. We do not use that cookie for third-party advertising.
To provide the gateway: authenticate you, reserve GHS, route SMS, apply DLRs, and show logs.
To secure the platform: detect abuse, enforce rate limits, and investigate incidents.
To bill you and meet accounting duties in Ghana.
To answer support and sales mail you send us.
To meet legal requests from competent Ghana authorities when we are required to.
We process personal data in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and related regulations. Depending on the activity, our basis is the contract to provide the Service, our legitimate interest in securing a prepaid gateway, your consent (for example a newsletter signup), or a legal obligation.
If you send SMS to third parties, you are the controller of those destinations and contents. You must have a lawful basis to contact them. We process that data as a service provider on your instructions.
Wholesale SMS partners, solely to deliver the message and return a DLR.
Infrastructure processors that host the VPS, database, and object storage we use to run taysend.com.
Payment processors if you top up through a connected checkout (they receive the payment reference, not your API keys).
We do not sell contact lists or message bodies.
Account and ledger records are kept for the life of the account and for the period Ghana tax and communications rules require after closure.
Message bodies and DLR payloads are kept so you can inspect history and so we can handle disputes and abuse. You may request deletion where the law allows; we may retain a minimal record if we must.
Infrastructure may process data outside Ghana. We still apply this Policy and only use processors that offer appropriate safeguards.
Subject to Act 843, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your account data, and you may object to marketing mail. Write to bds.inc0101@gmail.com. We may need to verify the requester.
You may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana if you believe we have mishandled your data.
The Service is for organisations and adults operating messaging systems. It is not directed at children. Do not submit personal data about children in message bodies unless you have a lawful basis.
We may update this Policy. The date below will change. Material changes will be noted in the console or by email.
